The Best Fitness Machines for Home Workouts

best home fitness machinesIf you’re like my and hate to go all the way to your local gym to get a good, solid workout you should probably invest in some fitness equipment that you can use at home. I’m not saying that you should turn your home into a gym, but 1 or 2 fitness machines would be great and they wouldn’t even take too much space to be honest.

But before you spend any money you should know that there are a lot of different types of machines which you can get but the ones that are best for home use, usually take less space. Also the best fitness machines for home don’t come cheap if you know what I mean, but they’re not that expensive either.

Here are some suggestions on what machines you could get for your own home.

For me it was simple since I was a rower for most of my youth years. I got an indoor rowing machine which both me and my wife use almost on a daily basis.

What’s great about indoor rowers is the challenging cardio workout you get. If your joints hurt, a rower is probably the best exercise machine you could buy. They’re amazing. You get a full body workout as well as great cardio. One thing I want to advise you one is that before you decide to buy one of these machines make sure you go through as many rowing machine reviews as you can. You want to get the best rower for your fitness level. Although most rowers work great for beginners aswell as for veterans, some aren’t that beginner friendly. I own a Concept 2 Model D and I wouldn’t trade it for anything that’s on the market right now. But it cost me about $1000 new. So you decide how much you want to invest in a rowing machine for your home.

Another good fitness exercise machine you can buy and use at home is the elliptical trainer. We have one but we don’t use it that much, it’s mostly my wife who exercises on it in the evenings. I can’t say it’s the same as a rowing machine, workout-wise because it’s not.

It does offer a lower and upper body workout but because you’re in a standing position it won’t be that easy on your knees and hips. It does however offer you a super challeging workout and most models come with a very complex monitor which can track your workouts and from where you can choose different types of training programs.

I can’t tell you which is the best home elliptical trainer but I’m sure it has a decently sized price point. From my experience what I can tell you is that if you only have room for one cardio machine in your home, get the rower. There’s no question about it if you ask me. Of course it’s all up to you.

Other fitness machines you can check out are of course treadmills, but they tend to take up a lot of space and they’re pretty heavy so it will be extremely annoying for you to have to move them around.
